Serving the Enon Community

The Enon Community Historical Society serves the Enon and Mad River Township communities by preserving and promoting local history and heritage. Our central hub and headquarters is the Mike Barry Research Center.

Features of the Mike Barry Research Room include:

A comprehensive library of local history
Genealogical information on local families
Computerized genealogy records
Records of local cemeteries
Historical research software
DVDs of area events and interviews
An extensive collection of historical photographs
A complete photographic inventory of historic sites in Mad River Township

In addition to the Research Center, we offer tours of our historic log house located next door. Visitors are welcome to schedule a tour by contacting us in advance or asking a staff member during open hours.

Office Information

Take Interstate 70 and exit at the Enon/Donnelsville exit (eastbound or westbound Exit 48). Head south on Enon Road, then turn left (east) onto Main Street. From there, turn right (south) onto Indian Drive. Our location is near the Knob Prairie Native American Adena Mound.
